Employee attendance register template
The daily in-and-out record, with hours computed from the times rather than written in separately — which is where most registers develop internal contradictions.
Opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers and LibreOffice — no conversion needed.

How to use it
- →Format the in-time and out-time columns as time before entering data, so the hours formula evaluates.
- →One row per employee per working day; sort by date then employee for readability.
- →Keep the approved-by column filled — an unapproved register entry is weaker evidence than an approved one.
- →Retain completed registers for the period your applicable rules require.
Before you rely on it
Form numbers and required particulars for statutory registers vary by state. Confirm the prescribed format for each state you operate in before treating this as your statutory record.
When the spreadsheet stops scaling
A template is the right answer until the reconciliation between sheets costs more than the sheets save. Workclave records the same data as work happens, applies your policy automatically, and produces the register, the payroll input and the client hours statement from one source.
