Is screenshot monitoring legal in India?
The DPDP Act, 2023 does not ban it outright, but it requires processing to be limited to what a specified lawful purpose needs. Attendance, billing and productivity measurement are achievable with far less data than screen capture collects, which makes necessity hard to argue.
