What is session-based attendance?
Every work session is linked to a project and client the moment it starts, then approved by a manager before it can be billed. You end up with an audit trail rather than a pair of clock times.
Do you take screenshots or log keystrokes?
No. Workclave records when a session ran, which project it belonged to and who approved it. It never captures screen contents, keystrokes or mouse movement.
Is Workclave really free?
Yes — free for up to 3 users, with no card and no trial clock. Paid plans are billed per user with no base fee and no seat minimum.
How is this different from a payroll suite like Keka?
Keka is payroll-first and charges a platform fee before your first user. Workclave is session-first: it answers who worked on what, for which client, and whether it can be billed. Plenty of teams run both.
How long does setup take?
Most teams create their projects and invite people in one sitting. We do not publish an average — we are onboarding our first teams and will not quote a number we cannot stand behind.
Does Workclave work outside India?
Yes. The same approved-session record supports working-time and record-keeping duties in the EU, the UK, the US, Australia and elsewhere. Retention windows, shifts, breaks and holidays are configured per workspace.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Export every session, register and approval trail as CSV at any time, on the free plan too. After cancellation your data is held briefly for a final export, then deleted.
