1. Overview

  • This Cookie Policy explains how Workclave uses cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) on workclave.com and in the Workclave product.
  • Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature without an expiry sent to the server. Both let a site remember things between page loads — a login, a language, a consent choice.
  • Workclave is operated by Mecverse. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

3. Essential cookies and storage

  • attendflow-consent (cookie + localStorage, 12 months): your cookie choices themselves. Storing a refusal is what keeps us from asking on every page.
  • wc-country (cookie): the country detected from your IP, used to show prices in your currency and the compliance rules that apply to your region. It swaps content in place and never redirects you.
  • NEXT_LOCALE (cookie): remembers the language you picked with the language switcher. Set only when you change language; we never auto-redirect by browser language.
  • theme (localStorage): your light/dark preference for the product interface.
  • Product authentication (cookies, app routes): when you sign in, Workclave sets session cookies for login, session continuity and CSRF protection. They are required for any authenticated route and are not readable by scripts (httpOnly).
  • These essentials cannot be switched off from the banner — the site cannot function without them — but none of them are used to track you across other websites.

4. Optional analytics cookies

  • Loaded only after you choose "Accept analytics", and removed from future page loads if you withdraw consent.
  • Google Analytics 4: traffic sources, page views, and conversion events such as signup completion and demo engagement. We configure it with ad storage explicitly denied — GA4 runs in analytics-only mode.
  • Microsoft Clarity: anonymised interaction telemetry — scrolling, clicks, and session replays with keystroke content masked.
  • Hotjar: similar interaction analytics, enabled only on deployments where it is configured.
  • We use this data to answer questions like "which pricing page do visitors read before signing up" — never to build advertising profiles.

5. What we do not do

  • No advertising cookies. We do not run ad pixels, remarketing tags or conversion audiences, and GA4's advertising features are disabled at the configuration level.
  • No cross-site tracking. Nothing we set identifies you on other websites.
  • No selling of data derived from cookies, to anyone.
  • No fingerprinting. We do not use canvas, font or device fingerprinting techniques as a fallback when cookies are declined.
  • No consent walls. Content is never withheld to pressure an "accept".

6. Third-party providers

  • The optional analytics tools are provided by third parties who act as our processors for this data: Google (Analytics 4), Microsoft (Clarity), and Hotjar Ltd.
  • Each provider's own privacy documentation describes their cookie lifetimes and safeguards: Google's at policies.google.com, Microsoft Clarity's at learn.microsoft.com/clarity, and Hotjar's at hotjar.com/legal.
  • Analytics cookie lifetimes are set by the vendor — Google Analytics identifiers persist up to 24 months; Clarity and Hotjar identifiers are shorter-lived. All of them are only ever set after your consent.

7. Managing your choice

  • To withdraw or change consent: clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser settings — the banner reappears on your next visit and your new choice takes effect immediately.
  • You can also block or delete cookies entirely through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will break login and the consent banner itself.
  • We treat the banner's default — analytics off — as stricter than Do Not Track, so a DNT or Global Privacy Control header never results in more tracking; without an explicit opt-in from you, analytics simply stay off.

8. Retention

  • The consent record is kept for 12 months from your last choice, as evidence of the lawful basis for any analytics that ran.
  • Analytics data already collected under a valid consent is retained per the vendor's configured window and our Privacy Policy; withdrawing consent stops future collection but does not retroactively erase aggregate statistics.
  • Preference values (theme, language, region) persist until you clear them or they expire; they are never transmitted to analytics providers.

9. Changes to this policy

  • If we add, remove or repurpose a cookie, we update this page and the effective date above.
  • If a change expands optional data collection — a new analytics vendor, for instance — existing consents do not carry over: the banner asks again before the new tool runs.
