The hours this calculator prices are the visible cost, and for a 20-person team they are usually a lakh or more per year. The larger cost is invisible: a week reconstructed on Friday afternoon is fiction with a formula bar. Studies of time-recall consistently show large error rates for work logged even a day late — and invoices, utilisation numbers and statutory registers all inherit that error.
That is the difference between recording time and remembering it. A session started when the work starts is a record; a cell filled on Friday is an estimate that will be defended as a record.
